A look into our ball mastery portion of our Thanksgiving Camp! Camps are about fun but also learning new concepts and applying them and re-adjusting based off the initial result🫡. So, once a player leaves they feel confident with their development!
From Lonestar & Alamo Revolution to Steele & Clemens. TLU & North Carolina FC to our second camp together. We are incredibly thankful for everyone that has come out to the past two camps we’ve hosted. We have one more in December to end the year off right! As we keep doing these camps, we keep learning new things to implement in the next camp. This winter camp will be different than the past two… more info on that later!

Great session with the SAFC ‘13’s!🔴⚫️ These players are hilarious but also work extremely hard and massively competitive. In the video we have the players doing a technical sequence. Focusing on tempo and speed, plus engaging the mind with remembering the movements at a quick pace! 🧱
In my second year with the Antonian Boys Team! This year i am the Head Coach for JV and still an Assistant for the Varsity Team. 🔴🔵 Today we had two games, JV won 5-0 and Varsity won 3-0. Great to see some clean sheets and a lot of goals! Excited

What i’ve learned training and coaching is there is no such thing as always and never. Not every rep/drill/session has to be game speed. On the flip side it doesn’t have to be comfortable or in rhythm. Going 100% every rep gets you conditioning and to simulate the game speed. But can create a chaotic mess if you cannot control the rep. Just as trying to be fluid and go with rhythm can have you too relaxed and will produce negative results in games sometimes due to speed of play. So, finding a good balance between the rhythm of our movements in the session and then applying that at 100% is what we are looking for. Soccer and sports in general is a multi layered process and it can be very complex but also very simple as well. Our goal is to try to simply it for the players but have them understand the overall picture of it as well.
Great session with Gabi, we are getting her ready for her final High School season! 🦬🔵🟡 Controlling the tempo and consistency is massive! Knowing when you speed an attack up or when to stop it completely is a good skill to have. Here we are working on quick movements and incorporating some technical moves. Also doing simple things such as opening up, first time passes, receiving with the correct part of the foot and the furthest foot.
